Owner description: We are Located in La Fortuna, San Carlos, Costa Rica, 1.5 km (1 mile) south of the Catholic Church, we have been declared a Tropical Ecological Park, and have a wide array of natural, cultural, and adventure tours which promise visitors unforgettable one-of-a-kind experiences in Costa Rica. Arenal Mundo Aventura was created through the dreams and plans of 4 business partners, and opened its doors in 2005. The primary objective is and was to conserve the rainforest and the environment, combining that with ecotourism and responsible adventure tourism. With this project we have managed to reforest a large amount of land, of which we currently only use 10% in our daily operations.

We took the canopy tour with Arenal Mundo Aventura. The guides hook you up with harnesses and provide a brief instruction on how to keep yourself pointing forward and what to do if you should get stuck out on the line without making it to the end (as my partner did...). You ride in a tractor pull and then walk 15 minutes to the first platform (if you do not take the horseback tour). They hook you on and off you zip! --over the canopy, over the La Fortuna waterfall, within view of the volcano. Beautiful sights!! The longest line takes 1 minute to cross!!! A photographer goes with each group and we had been recommended to let him know that we would like to purchase the photos after so that he would be sure to take many of our couple. However, there was only one other couple with us (*low season perk!) so photos were ample regardless. The disk for high quality photos and videos was only $25 (a steal when compared with photos purchased on a similar tour in cancun!). Would recommend this tour company. The only pitfall is the lack of lockers for personal belongings. I had to leave my backpack behind the front desk and although it returned to me in full, I felt uncomfortable with the idea.

We were very satisfied with this tour! The staff were great, the training was great, as was the attention to safety. Our guide Ulysis could not have been more intent on ensuring we were safe, and were enjoying the experience. We left the reception center as a group on a covered wagon pulled by a tractor to an area near the first zipline. After a 20 minute uphill hike we arrived at the first zipline, a short and non-threatening ride where you get the feel of the attraction. The leaders ensured we all were safely harnessed up and buckled in, and off we went from one station to the next. At the end we visited a native village, then were taken back to the reception area. Some of our group rode horses back, a prearranged extra. The horses all looked healthy, well groomed and tacked, and well fed and cared for. The poor reviews on this site are from several years ago and are not indicative of our experience. This tour was the most thrilling and memorable experience of our trip to Costa Rica!

Thank you to Christian, Alfonso and Ulisis for an amazing afternoon! We had such a great time yesterday with you! You were all so wonderful, knowledgeable and professional...always taking into account safety first! The views were incredible, and you totally alleviated any fear of heights! (And a special thanks for those tandem rides!) Can't wait to go home and watch the video. Pura vida.!

This tour is amazingly scary! Just kidding (not really). It does take your breath away. We chose the 12 station zip canopy tour. The longest zip being 908 meters long. That's just about 1 minutes of zip time on that one station alone. Incredible views of the waterfall and volcano. This tour is a must for adventure seekers. We chose to break from the trip back to the hostel and instead walk through the jungle to swim in the waterfall. That also was great. Caught a taxis home from the opposite entrance of the waterfall.

11 zip lines with the longest being 980 m! Chance to see multiple waterfalls and it was thrilling. Our guides were amazing. Their motto rings true -"our job is to keep you safe. Your job is to have fun!" There is a bit of a hike to the first platform. Only negative.
