My wife and I had a great experience with Pure Trek. They offer at least two trips a day to the canyon. One in morning before the lunch and one after the lunch. The food they offer is the standard Costa Rican food. The tour starts with a bit of a drive up to the canyon on a real rough road in the back of a modified old pickup truck. At the top we suited up for the canyoning. The first abseil is the longest and its beautiful right next to a waterfall, you may get wet. The group we were with was rather large but there were sufficient guides to accommodate but it was a decent wait at points. Two of the abseils can accommodate two people at a time on two separate rope systems. The second rappel is shorter but into a small pool which was fun, you will get completely wet. The third was very disappointing, very short and dry. The final abseil was the second tallest and through a waterfall again. For the whole trip the guides were fun and helpful while also being safe. I gave the trip a four out of five because I believe the trip was comparatively overpriced. The standard rate for the couple of hour trip is nearly $100. PLUS another $30! if you want to buy the cd with pictures they took of your group.
