My wife and I spent our 10 year anniversary while at Nayara. The hotel grounds are spectacular. We stayed in a suite and were initially disappointed that we had 2 queen beds instead of a king...however, Jose at the front desk quickly provided 2 complimentary massages. The outdoor shower in the suite is amazing...it may have been one of my wife's favorite things on the trip! The staff was great and easily made our reservations for the Sky Tram zip line, white water rafting and the hanging bridges tour.

We celebrated our "25" anniversary at Nayara (a friend recommended it) and I have to say she was right! Liz at the hotel set up the car pick-up at the airport (it was so easy) and our driver had great stories regarding Costa Rica. From the minute we got to the hotel, the staff was very friendly and greeted us with open arms and smiles. Jorge Gutierrez (Manager) was amazing and by the time we left there, we felt like we were family. We stayed for 5 nights and set up all of our excursions thru the hotel. We went white water rafting, rode ATV's, hanging bridges, etc. and the companies and tour guides were all great! They all gave us different prospectives of Costa Rica, which they were proud to be a part of. The room was fantastic and private and we had a great view of the Volcano and saw so many differenct types of birds and colorful foliage/flowers.The breakfast buffet and dinners were delicious and many varities to select from. We will definitely recommend Nayara for a special romantic vacation and we will be back!! Thanks to Jorge and the Nayara staff for making this a memorable anniversary.

Great hotel. We stayed in one of the suites, and it was great. Beautiful room, huge porch (which we weren't around to use much) with a Jacuzzi, great bathroom. Nice pool area with friendly bartenders. Dinner service we attentive, and food was good with a nice enough wine selection. Breakfast was included with the stay and there were lots of great options.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with a nice deck with a view of the volcano and indoor and outdoor showers. Free calls to the US was great. Also, the breakfast buffet was excellent with made to order omlettes, great fruit, juices, pastries, etc. We didn't need to eat lunch. The wine bar was nice and $6 drinks by the pool is a bargain at most resorts. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.

It's hard to find a bad review of Nayara and there's a very good reason: the place is awesome.

I could go on about how beautiful the rooms are and how great the service and the food are, but you've read all that already. The real indication to me that this place was a great hotel choice was the fact that it was completely full while every other resort in Costa Rica was barely operating during the slow "green season". That says a lot about how well-run this place is.

There is nothing bad I can say about Nayara. If i could, I would go back tomorrow!

Room Tip: The rooms numbered 41 and higher are apparently the newer built rooms and are a little further away from the central part of the hotel, so they're probably a bit quieter. But really, you can't go wrong anywhere.
