Campo Verde is awesome. The view and the staff was amazing. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She booked the hot spring and we went to Baldi Hot Springs which was very nice ,I recommend going in the morning, there is less people. The breakfast was delicious ....I know I'll be staying with them again.

We stayed here three nights and found the accommodations terrific. My wife and I and our two grown children, one of whom was our Peace Corps volunteering son stationed in this country, enjoyed our time here. We had two large beds in our room. The view of Arenal Volcano was spectacular. The grounds have gorgeous vegetation. Breakfast (included) was filling, starting off with fresh fruit. One morning we had to leave extra early (before normal breakfast time) for a zip-lining reservation and the staff got the fruit ready early and made us some toast specially for us to eat and/or take. The town of LaFortuna is nearby with restaurants, shops, etc. We left a ring behind and they emailed us letting us know and that they will be mailing it to us. If we ever get back to Costa Rica, we'd stay here again.

This small but very clean hotel is located on the side of the volcano. It was cloudy and rainy most of the time we were in La Fortuna, but if it had of been clear the view would have been outstanding.

Baldi Hot Springs, Eco Glide Zip Lining are a couple minutes away, so you cannot beat the location. The town itself is not that far, a bit too far to walk but driving is less than 5 minutes.

The rooms we had were clean, spacious with vaulted ceilings and had a fridge, safe and hair dryer.

The staff, Oneida in particular was very helpful with directions, travel advice and making the reservation. Breakfast is tasty - be sure to try the gallo pinto!
Very good value - we had 4 people per room and breakfast is included.

Room Tip: All of the rooms have good views!

We had a lovely stay in one of the cabins closest to the volcano with an unobstructed view. It is a beautiful location with gorgeous plantings, butterflies, birds and very close to the Arenal park.
Breakfasts served on the outdoor patio were excellent. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin with an unobstructed view of the Volcan Arenal.

My daughter and I traveled recently to Costa Rica as a high school graduation present from her father and me. We stayed a couple daysJ (June 14-16) in La Fortuna outskirts at a hotel named Campo Verde. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and large (we had 2 dbl beds and a good size bathroom with large tub shower). The price was VERY reasonable at $80 per night including breakfast. There was a beautiful view of the volcano Arenal from our patio. The included breakfast was nice and we even got the pancake special that they had available on the weekend. The office staff was very helpful, from the time I made my reservations over the internet to our departure. They even held our luggage for a late departure so we could see the Hanging bridges! The woman who helped us find activities to partake in was particularly helpful. (I can't recall her name) She even made the reservations for us over the phone. She explained it all in detail and gave us many options to choose from. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's small enough to not be over touristy, but very classy and clean. It has the individual, authentic touch we were looking for. For the reservations we dealt with a woman named Lisbeth and at the front desk it was maybe Oneida?. I wasn't sure if the woman who helped us in person was the same I had contact with via email. She was VERY helpful!! (I only have email records and didn't take notice at the time.) We had stayed earlier at one of the large hotels with tons of tourists and I felt like we were at Disneyland. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a true Costa Rican experience.
My only slight issue, actually from my daughter, is that the wifi in the room was a bit hit or miss. She had to go down to the main office once to access their wifi. It was a 2 minute walk so no big deal. But for me it was a vacation and I can't expect foreign places to be as equipped as most places are in the US. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again in the future.

Room Tip: We had asked for one with a view of the volcano. It was magnificent. The grounds are kept very neat...

Very nice cabin, no. 12 (I think). Nothing between you and the volcano. Toucans, macaws, spider monkeys, howling monkeys-- see them with binoculars from your cabin. Nice breakfast and polite help. Not luxurious, but clean and well cared for.

We are a family of 4 traveling with 2 young kids (almost 3yo and almost 1yo). We stayed at Campo Verde for 3 nights. The place is awesome:
- Absolutely gorgeous bungalow (we had the last one of the row with best views of the volcano; bungalow #11). The room had a fridge and a safe (did not use the later). Outdoor table with chairs to relax on porch.
- Gorgeous place: awesome views of the volcano from our window, forest on the edge of property where we heard howler monkeys for the 1st time
- Great breakfast (included) with 3 options: tico plate, continental, and “light”. And a 4th option on weekend: yummy pancakes.
- Great price: $64/night (and could have had a 20% discount if would have paid in cash).
- Beds were comfortable and bed sheets were nice.
- Air conditioning unit worked well and was needed.
- Very friendly and helpful staff.
The only thing we can think of is that they didn’t have a crib or baby bed. We just moved the 2 queen beds together and against the window wall so that the kids would not roll off. We encountered no problems at all. We highly recommend it.
