This place is fantastic and a blessing for Costa Rican dogs. As those of us who visit or live in Costa Rica know, there are a plethora of homeless dogs. This shelter collects as many as they can and provide shelter, food, and medical needs. Some of these dogs are severely sick or injured and they are given care and love. Volunteering at the shelter is a lot of fun! FYI, also on premise, cooking classes are offered, but must be scheduled. There is also a tour company that works with the shelter. I'm in the process of adopting Ojita, a 3ish year old mixed breed who had to have her eye removed due to an unknown injury when she was saved. All of the dogs, large and small, were very friendly and loving. I met many I'd love to adopt but felt a special bond to Ojita. PLEASE go visit this rescue and help! It is well worth it!!! Also, check them out on facebook, Costa Rican Dog Rescue and Adoption. Please support this important task!
