The room itself was slightly above average - nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was especially nice. The grounds and the property are gorgeous and pristine with every room having a stunning view of the Arenal Volcano! Beautiful tropical flowers and birds surrounded us as we sat on the patio facing the volcano.

This resort is situated among the beautiful and lush tropical grounds. Every room is a bungalow on it's own equipped with all the modern comforts. Quiet comfort and you can truly enjoy the nature with a lot of colorful birds, plants & flowers..etc. We truly enjoyed our stay and our kids had a blast watching the birds everyday in the morning. Awesome breakfast with a lot of options and excellent customer service. A couple pools along with thermal springs to choose from with great cocktails, happy hour..etc. Pizza is a must try at the pool. All of this topped with excellent service and views of the Volcano everywhere from your room,pool, restaurant...etc.
We visited this hotel for 3 nights during last April. Reception staff was with real help and offered us free advice on where and what to do. Rooms are very big with a great garden that together with a nice view to the volcano gives you great stay. Breakfast is very good with all sorts of dishes including some gluten free meals We enjoyed it and recommend coming to this hotel.
We stayed at the Arenal Manoa Hotel as part of a Smithsonian Journeys group tour. The rooms were large, the bathroom stunning with live plants growing in small plot in the floor, and there were two comfortable rocking chairs on the patio The grounds were lovely and the colorful plants attracted a large variety of birds. There is a small pond on the property that is home to two caimans who can often be seen sunning themselves on the bank or nearby grass. The buffet breakfast has an impressive array of choices and the dinner we ordered was presented with style and tasted absolutely delicious. There is a large conventional swimming pool as well as a very nice warm mineral pool. Overall, a very nice experience.
Spent two nights here, perfect for discovering the Arenal National Park. This is a large resort with rows of semi-detached chalets laid out rather like a housing development but very well planted with native plants. To travel to the amenities you can pick up the phone and an electric buggy will be sent to transport you. Our chalet was very spacious with an excellent bathroom but we had two problems. One was a noisy fridge it was the type that should be built in a cupboard as it had no outer case, the other was the bedside lights did no way align with the bed not the sort of thing I would expect in this class of accommodation. The meals were good but rather pricey, buffet breakfast was excellent plenty of fresh fruit. Included in our package was a Costa Rican evening that was great fun with local food and a local band.
If your a nature lover you need never to leave your room just sit on your terrace and all the tropical birds and wildlife are there in your own peice of forest. Set at the foot of the Arenal volcano and in the most incredible tropical gardens each semi detached bungalow has an enormous bedroom and incredible shower room with a lovely patio area. Don’t bother going on bird spotting trips it’s all here around you. Lovely open air resturuant serving excelllent buffet breakfast but dinners a bit mediocre. Swimming pool with swim up bar and thermal hot tub.
