This place is just awesome!!! The villas are very clean and not feeling like you're in hotel to enjoy the nature around. The landscaping was really nice. Breakfast was ok with not much options, but they were very flexible and accommodating. Dinner was way overpriced and we didnt really want to eat there because we wanted to enjoy more local cuisine. The villas had everything needed and were very spacious and more importantly clean. Hotel service staff was exceptional. The hotel had about 6 hot spring pools which were very nice and somewhat private with the limited villas. My wife and siblings did massages and said the experience was amazing.

We had such a great, relaxing time at this hotel. The grounds were breathtaking, staff was incredibly friendly, we loved the farm, the hot springs, the rooms, the food. I would definitely recommend El Silencio to anyone traveling to La Fortuna. 2 adults, 2 kids!

I was already planning on writing a 5 star review for this place, describing the beautiful grounds, great thermal pools, wonderful room accommodations, and fabulous staff that many others have commented on, but then the front desk staff went over the top in service and I’m sorry I can’t give them 10 stars!

That over the top service was their acceptance of responsibility and working with our rental car company and local insurance companies when a branch from one of their trees In the designated parking spots fell on 3 cars, completely smashing the back window of our rental. The staff not only coordinated with all the local entities, but also transferred funds to the rental car company the day it happened, to cover the repair charge that was placed on our credit card, as was contractually required.
