We absolutely loved our stay at Arenal Springs! This is the perfect hotel for a family. Our young children (5 & 7) really enjoyed eating in the pool and playing in the playground in the rainforest. The yoga in the morning was lovely and the breakfast was delicious, best fruit we have ever eaten! The staff was all extremely friendly and the volcano views were breathtaking! The hotel is a short taxi ride ($10 each way) to La Fortuna where we ate most of our dinners. We hope to come back to Arenal Springs very soon!!More

Wow wow wow
I absolutely loved this beautiful place. From start to finish I was impressed with this resort in the rainforest.
A great welcome and impressive room. We had a spectacular view of the volcano from our seating area outside the room.
Breakfast was brilliant,loads of options and freshly cooked food available to order- omelette etc.
Staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much bother. The hotel grounds were immaculate and the pools/springs were amazing too.
The rainforest shower was an authentic touch and we loved it.
During our stay in Costa Rica we stayed in 6 hotels, most were 5 star and this was, by far, my favourite. Thank you!

A beautiful spot
We loved the villas/duplexes as another couple we were with stayed next door. Rooms excellent, very clean. Shower had a garden next to it exposed to outside! Arenal view was gorgeous. Bar pool was fun

Outstanding hotel in an area of natural beauty
Fantastic 2 night stay in April 2019. On arrival we were greeted with a very welcoming smile, helpful and efficient check-in and fruit cocktail.

We arrived in the evening so it was dark, but the following morning we were up early and the view of the Arenal Volcano was quite breathtaking, shrouded in a veil of mist and feeling very atmospheric, as if we were in a Jurassic world.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with two large king-size beds. Small toiletries provided. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary during our stay, and on the second night we came back to our room which had been decorated with a celebratory ribbon, artistic towel sculpture, fruit in our room and two small bottles of Malbec red wine. It was a lovely surprise.

The hotel has some interesting features; the thermal spa waters are very relaxing and soothing too with some extremely hot natural spring waters. They also have a small farm, where they milk the cows and produce veg and fruit.

A couple of early morning walks and we saw wildlife at its Costa Rican best. Toucans, coati, humming birds, honey creepers and so many other diverse flora and fauna species.

We ate at the hotel on one night only, which was in our opinion, quite pricey, even with a reduced set meal menu, kindly organised with the restaurant by our tour guide, Andres. But that is our only small grumble. The breakfast menu choice was plentiful with some lovely local dishes, as well as having an international flavour too. Bread, cakes, hot and cold savoury and sweet dishes, fruit in abundance and the coffee was fantastic.

The hotel is in a remote location, so the restaurants are the only option to eat, unless you take a taxi to Fortuna.

Fabulous resort, wonderful staff
We stayed at Arenal Springs on the second leg of our recent honeymoon to Costa Rica. From the minute we arrived we were amazed by the courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff. The hotel is in a wonderful, luscious, green setting with an incredible view (clouds permitting) of the volcano. Our room was luxurious, a large and comfortable bed with clean, crisp bedlinen. The bathroom was beautiful with a large and luxurious shower. The hotel offers different places to eat, all of which were very good. The pool complex is just fabulous! There is a normal pool and then several pools of hot volcanic water. I sat under the volcanic waterfall with hot water pounding onto my neck and shoulders: I have arthritis in my neck but after that my holiday was pain-free! We also spent time sitting on underwater bar stools at the poolside bar drinking cocktails and chatting to people. Heavenly!

Our favorite hotel!
We recently stayed here with our 3 kids - ages 4, 10, and 11. We absolutely loved this hotel. The view of the volcano was a stunning, the restaurants were excellent and the pool area was wonderful. There was a relaxing hammock area and a kids playground, yoga every morning and every room felt private. The grounds were very well kept and the rooms were clean and luxurious. I highly recommend this hotel for families staying in the Arenal area.
