I could not have more positive things to say about the Arenal Springs Resort. We booked this hotel as well as a 5 star all inclusive resort and would have stayed here our entire trip had we known what our other resort experience was going to be like. You can see the entire volcano, each room has a front and center view. The rooms are very clean, the staff is unbelievably helpful and willing to do whatever they can teh make your stay comfortable and exciting. The Tour Desk Representative, Selim, even took us on a walking tour of the grounds since we said we hadn't seen monkey's yet. Sure enough, he made sure we saw them. They offer great tours from the hotel and I recommend waiting until you arrive to book your excursions as they offer every tour that i read about and researched online for cheaper. I highly highly recommend the Desafio Waterfall Canyoning. It was the experience of a lifetime, well worth the price and they provide a great, home cooked, tipical costa rican meal. The hotel breakfast is also wonderful with alot of variety.

Arenal Springs is a great place to stay. Great value, great accomodations, great time!

We visited Arenal Springs Hotel in late October, It was a very nice 3 year old property. We were in the jr suites in the two series which was close walking distance to the Pool area and dining, with a wonderful view. We walked all over the property and the best rooms are in the one, two, three and four series. Other ones were just farther away walking distance to the restaurant and pool. They do have their shuttle carts to take you the rooms. It was a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend this property. It was a good price also. The shower was in a very tropical setting. Someone else said in their review about bugs.
I have a question to them. Where in Costa Rica are there NOT BUGS. It is a rain forrest most of the time. Just bring spray. We were not bothered by this that much.
Make sure you stay at least 2 nights there are lots of things to do.
The town of Fortuna is just okay. I wasn't there in high season, maybe there is more to do.

I really enjoyed staying at this resort. The grounds are attractive, the staff extremely hospitable, and the rooms fantastic. I really enjoyed lounging by the pool and, when swimming, liked the idea that there was a bar right in and next to the pool. There was internet service available in the lobby and the town was just a short taxi ride away. The meals in the dining room were very good and the entire experience at this resort left one feeling good about his stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

What a setting. Right beside the volcano, half covered in rain forest half wastes in grey and black rock from where it errupted truely a majestical view and it doesn't matter which room/lodge you stay at either we stayed in room/lodge 204.

All rooms have 2 double beds plenty big enough for anyone and a great bathroom with your own mini rain forest cascading down the far shower room wall, a lovely touch!!!!

Tours to see the larva at night were only $10 and about 40min drive away a must do! Its quite a sight. We saw loads of Fireflys and frogs some very rare on our trip. We were only at AS for 1 night which was a real shame the pools looked great! I'm sure there was a swim up bar in one of them! Breakfast was fine a little more choice would have been nice but was there was good enough.

The staff were very knowledgable and spoke good English. The internet was free again a nice touch also. The local town of Fortuna (Named that because of how lucky it was when the volcano errupted down the opposite slope lol!!!) is a nice place not too touristy and the surrounding area has so much beauty and a lot of things to do. From the energetic zip wire and white water rafting to the relaxing, calming hot springs to the true wonder of the roof top walkways of Monteverde cloud/rain forest..

Just wish we had stayed longer!!!

Stayeed two nights with my family. Rooms were large and clean. Shower was beautiful, had its own greenhouse/atrium. Very peaceful and quiet. Restaurant was excellent. Could of stayed a week. Only complaint was that the beds were rock hard.

The most beautiful setting for a resort, across from the Arenal Volcano (even though the lava flows on the opposite side), the view of the volcano is magnificent, the staff was great, specially Ruth and Yesenia, great personality, great disposition, the rooms are little houses with 2 rocking chairs in front so that you can sit and just contemplate the view, the only complaint which was really not a complaint is that the walls are paper thin so if you have loud neighbors you can hear everything that is going on next door, I figured you can not have it all and the place is worth that little inconvenience. Saw lots of hummingbirds. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the best of all the places we stayed at.
Nothing but great things to say about this place, We will definetely be back.

Arenal Springs Resort was absolutely amazing! What a paradise!

When you arrive at your "room", you think you're in a casita. It has a private driveway, a little walkway, a front porch with handmade wooden rocking chairs, and huge windows. The flora around it is so beautiful and makes it very private.

Then you walk into your room and there are fresh orchids on the bed and around the bathroom. The shower is set up to look like a natural setting with plants, rocks, and a mini waterfall! We had one king sized bed, and the concierge actually brought in a rollaway for our daughter--free and without us even asking.

Both dinner and breakfast were super there, and we enjoyed the open air restaurant so we could see the banana trees, papaya trees, hummingbirds, parrots, and ponds. The pool was fun too, and the view of the volcano was great!

We loved Arenal Springs.
