“small family run”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

A local took us there and we were happy. The husband took our order and brought our food, the girl brought our drinks and the wife cooked our meal. There were 3 bkfst options and we chose the tipico which did come with one of the best galo pintos we have had. I got a large cup of coffee and my husband a juice. We were both happy and glad to give them our business. Not much English but the menu was written on the board and so u can just point. I know they serve lunch but we ran out of time. The price for us both was $9. They are right off the main road that hugs the volcano in town, close to the central park area

“Great Local Tico food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

We probably would have never found this place on our own. The B&B owners recommended the place as the best chicken casado's in town. I would have to agree after eating several in town. There are no frills, which adds to the charm of this place. It was a wonderful home cooked meal prepared by the nicest owner. We knew very little Spanish, and he knew a little English but we communicated just fine. We stopped by the next several days just to say hello and we were warmly greeted each time. It was by far our cheapest meal of the trip but one of our favorites.
