Bought the day pass with Dinner for Tabacon Hot Springs--it was gorgeous! Made for a very relaxing day! Loved the swim up bar...you didnt even have to get out of the water to get a drink. The buffet dinner that was served was mediocre, but it is okay since its not the reason why we were there anyway.

We did a tour that included an 8 km hike through the forest up to a great photo location on Arenal. After that, we went to Tabacon, and st in the multitude of different temperature hot springs (one with a bar) and relaxed. There were quite a few people there, but we never felt like we were crowded. After a couple of hours of doing very little, we had dinner at the included buffet, which had some above average, resort-style food. All in all, quite an enjoyable experience.

The walkways are a bit slippery, so be careful. If it's lightning and thundering, you can still stay in the hot springs (and many did) but I wouldn't do that. There is a spa you could use if it's raining and you don't want to stay in the water.

Dear SeanDougherty,

We really appreciate your review. We are glad you decided to visit the only natural thermal mineral springs in the Region after an adventurous hike near Arenal Volcano. You can experience the magic of the resort at day, with amazing forest views and the mystical and romantic ambience at night with the steam and lighting at the resort. Our thermal springs are in a completely natural setting that's why wearing water shoes is strongly recommended. Every single night our guests can enjoy an international themed buffet with the most enticing flavors. We look forward for your next visit!

Kindest Regards

It is a beautiful place to rest and enjoy the hot springs. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. It's a bit pricey for the day but worth it if you want to indulge.

If you love hot tubs - you'll LOVE HOT SPRINGS. I don't know how many pools of hot springs the Tabacon had, but we went into at least 8-10 different ones and there were some lower ones (cooler temps) that we didn't even go into. We were there in the evening. Would have liked signs for each different hot springs or maybe a sign with a number on - so we could remember where we'd been, and which one we liked. We had a few favorites.
