It was the most relaxing day I have had in a long time and just what I needed. The trails were beautiful and fun to walk around and the hot pools were amazing! Food was superb.

The hot springs in the evening is the best way to end a day of activity. Relaxing under the stream of pressured water eases the shoulders and soak all the aches and pains away. I left feeling wonderful and very relaxed. I would recommend wearing water shoes, so you are free of toe stubbing on rocks and are able to move around easier from pool to pool. Next time I will schedule a massage at the connecting spa. This is a place I will bring my travel groups to again and again.

Our family has visited all the hot springs in the past and this is the best for our family. We went at night. To me, it was magical. Very calm and peaceful. There was enough interest for our 13 year old twins. I have read a few negative review about having to pay a deposit for a towel and locker. Really, get over it. Hundreds of places do the same. Just count on it and get on with soaking in the waters. The locker rooms were very clean-some reviews stated they were not clean. Guess what? Isn't that also true of any place you go on a random visit? You can't ding a place based on one visit. To prove a point, I went up to the manger and asked to have the women's locker room cleaned. They were there in 5 minutes. That's my point. You can do something about it!

We enjoyed the many different pools and the lush vegetation around the pools. I agree with reviews that a water sandal is helpful for certain pools.

It can be easy for a child to get separated from a parent. Some kind of plan may need to be in place. This was true even for our 13 year old twins.

Also, if you wear glasses and can't see without them (like me), know that you will fog up all the time. You need to be prepared for this.

We took the package deal, which includes the dinner buffet. No complaints at all. Yes it is expensive and not the best value. Yes, you have to pick and choose from the buffet. But the idea of eating early, or eating late outside the resort did not appeal to us. It was still the best for our family. It's not like our 13 year old boys are discerning critics. They devoured everything and immediately went back to the pools!

I can assume that during the day, the Tabacon Hot Springs are a real joy too, but at night, it is truly mystical.

Great place worth every penny. The food here looks great, but is just ok. That said, I would spring for the meal anyways because there is no where else to eat without leaving. See my review on the Volcano Lodge as it has everything in detail about this attraction and the "hike" tours etc.
