The bungalows are of a good size but provide very limited storage, hangers, hooks etc which can be bothersome if you have wet clothes (and this happens a lot in the rainy season). Breakfast is great and of good quality. The rate is far too high for Costa Rica's price levels. But unfortunately the whole Arenal and La Fortuna region is VERY touristic and all hotels charge extremly high rates. If you are looking for an area that is typical and unspoiled this is not the right spot. But if you don't mind professionally organised tourism for many people this hotel is a good choice to stay.

Stayed here for two nights on an organised tour of Costa Rica. The only drawback is that it is located about 1 mile from the main road along an unmade road which passes through agriculural land. However, the cabins are well equpped, spacious, and set in beautifully maintained gardens. Ours had two verandahs; one of which had a direct view of the volcano, which obligingly emerged from the clouds. The reception building houses a good restaurant, friendly bar and offers free internet access. There's a small but well apppointed out door pool and a hot tub, again with views of the volcano- very atmospheric. The staff were without exception attentive and effficient. All in all a very good experience

We were fortunate enough to have amazing clear weather our entire stay, so every morning we watched smoke puff out of Arenal. The cabins are cute, clean and comfortable. The website might not be up to date, or perhaps only certain cabins have this, but we had a flat panel TV with cable stations as good as at home.

The restaurant was eerily empty in the evenings, which made us seek other places to eat, but I can't say that the food was bad when we did eat there once - it seemed fine, nothing special?

The grounds of the hotel are so neat with all the blooming landscaping - just gorgeous. We walked around every morning, found howler monkeys in the trees along the back of the property.

My only recommendations are to improve the sheets - they were rough/scratchy, and maybe update the hot water heaters? We had "warm" water for showers, never ran out, but the shower was so large, the water only warm, so you felt chilled.

We stayed here for 4 nights and all i can say is our expectations were surpassed every single second of our stay. the individual bungalows are so private and the gardens and ambience surrounding each is unsurpassed. the attention to detail is so obvious from the kind and helpful folks at check in to the beautiful pool with easy entrance and covered hot tub which we enjoyed relaxing by with reasonably priced drinks from the bar while catching a beautiful distant storm. when we walked up to our room number 510 our jaws dropped open with the quaint cottage front porch enormous bathroom comfy beds fridge flat screen tv excellent air conditioning etc. but the real treat was when we opened our back deck doors to see the most gorgeous site of arenal volcano at its finest...majestic to say the least ! every day housekeeping left the most lovely towel shaped designs on the bed... it should really be considered art with fresh flowers . breakfast which was included was also excellent and changed slightly every day set in a gorgeous setting right in front of arenal in all its splendor. we listened to howler monkeys calling to each other in the trees while watching hummingbirds in the lovely landscaping while we walked down to breakfast each day. we are in love with lomas del volcan, its close to town so the taxi was a mere 5 dollars but set back from the road far enough (nearly a mile) that it is beyond private and a gem! we recommend this surprise resort to anybody, it was just amazing in all ways, we all nearly cried when we had to leave this lovely lovely lovely property!

This was part of my 10 day trip, so i can't comment on the value. This was only a one night stop and i'm very sad to have not had a chance to stay in Arenal and this hotel for longer.

You don't get rooms..you get a bungalow, with small front and back patios. The AC works great. The beds were comfortable. The shower ginormous. The grounds were lovely with wildlife all around you. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the complimentary breakfast was tasty with gorgeous views of the nearby volcanoe.

We had a stuffed toilet upon arrival and they fixed it within minutes.

We spent two nights at this hotel. The location was breathtaking. Our room was set amongst lush fauna and flora, and the view of the volcano was stunning. Our room was cosy and clean, albeit a little dark. The atmosphere was great - nice and peaceful if that's what you're looking for. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, as were the evening drinks at the bar.

Gorgeous hotel, secluded location, yet close to town. You do need a car, but we rented one without a problem. The views from the hotel and our cabin were just gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good, and so were the drinks at the bar.
