My husband and I recently stayed at Tabacon for our delayed honeymoon. We had a standard superior room that faced to volcano. The room was nice, comfortable, fresh fruit in a basket, coffemaker. We loved the hot springs!
We we early getting to the resort so our room was not ready(check in time is 4pm, we got there at 1pm, but the staff was very helpful in explaining how to get lunch, or use the hot springs. We were able to get lunch and use the hot springs with a temporary braclet. Any tours could be arranged as well.
The food at the restaurant hat the hot springs itself was good, but expensive. We reccomend the guacomole as they mix the spices you want right at your table, very yummy! The breakfats buffet at the hotel was included, very comprehensive and decent food, but we would not reccomend dinner as it was very bland and too expensive. Go into town on the free shuttle between the resort and one of the travel companies, cheaper food is there.
All in all we really liked the place. The hot springs at delightful, soothing, not too crowded when we were there, The bar in the back has a decent happy hour special.
