Talk about luxurious, then you're talking about this resort. It was our honeymoon, so there were a lot of expectations. Its a bit off the beaten path with fairly good roads, but at one point I wondered if we were on the right path. Upon arrival we were greeted by the front desk by name as if we were being expected, that kinda made the start of the honeymoon that more special. The room was amazing, my wife and I had tons of space and we did explore every corner of that room. The food was good and the staff was very friendly, but we definitely enjoyed going out into the town and enjoying some of the more local cuisine. The hot spring was a new experience that my wife and I enjoyed tremendously. We hope to go back there sometime and will not stop recommending it to our friends.

Spent 3 nights at Tabacon - what a beautiful place. The hot springs were awesome!!! We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary, and we had a special candlelight dinner in a private cabana - how romantic!!! Food was fantastic, and the staff was very attentive.

So happy we chose this hotel for our visit to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano Region. The hot springs made up for the not being able to see the volcano due to the weather being cloudy & raining for the 2 days we were visiting. Our rooms was quite large with all the amenities and a spacious bathroom. We were located not far from the main lobby and close enough to walk to the hot springs. I love the very accessible shuttle service back and forth to the restaurant, pool and springs. The lobby bar was cozy with a young man playing the keyboard for some entertainment. The concierge is great at booking all your excursions and the bellman are friendly and courteous. If you want lots of action this is not the location for you but if you want the Wow factor, I'd recommend this hotel due to its affiliation with the hot springs.

My favorite spa experience in the world. Nothing better than a massage in a hut in the jungle by a natural hot water spring while birds chirp, breezes blow bamboo, light rain falls. Every time I go I dont want it to end. I have sent many friends, all loved it. The springs are 5 star. The shower had some mold and wasn't hot. 3 star. The hotel is just average. 3 star. Breakfast was always delicious and the french press pots of coffee are the best. I highly recommend this magical place. Been going since 2004. Always a special treat.

Quite the luxurious resort. Beautiful, well-appointed rooms in a great setting. The hot springs were truly a delight. We had a couples massage in the jungle accompanied by the sounds of nature - just a delight. They had a nice, well-equipped fitness center. It was a short walk or shuttle ride to the spa/hot springs. The food was outstanding, the weakest link being one of the dinner buffets. Two small drawbacks: if you want to leave the grounds you need a car or taxi, and I really think breakfast should be included. It was at the other hotels we visited in Costa Rica. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We did see a suite, which was sensational but more money to be sure. If you are not spending lots of time in your room, the standard rooms are quite lovely and more than enough.
