Arenal lodge is very beautiful with a great view of the Arenal volcano. The hotel itself is beautiful with great rooms and service. We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful trails and gardens on the lodge. There are great birds and butterflies to see. They also have a wonderful pool, hot tub, and sauna. We loved the view from the hotel room. Caution to travelers the drive from the entrance of the hotel is very long, rocky, bumpy, and steep! Great stay here I would stay here again!

The rooms were clean, they had a great view of the volcano when it wasn't foggy. They have complimentary breakfast. The staff was super nice and they had great recommendations for excursions. We didn't get to hike around the lodge, but we noticed some people were hiking. They offer horseback riding around the property. Close to city and close to hot springs.

Yes we offer horseback riding with a spectacular view or volcano and Lake Arenal. On sunny days you can also see Lake of Nicaragua.
In Arenal Lodge you can find hiking trails and Spa for body therapies.
Hoping you had a nice trip back home.

The howler monkeys are scarier than they look, trails are long and the air is fresh. Many beautiful waterfalls throughout. The view of the volcanoes can be seen from the top of the random green ladder at the beginning of the trails.

The lodge is located next to the lake, in Castillo village. Clean and cozy. Simple but nutritious breakfast. Try the Soda Amigos restaurant next to the bridge. Amazing local food! Breathtaking views. I’d be back again!

Amazing Location and View of Arenal Volcano we picked the Chalet as it’s higher up from main building and has BigGlass windows to an amazing view at Volcano. Our room didn’t have Air-con but had a fan. We had a small issue with dripping tap but rapped a towel round it till the morning as it was late. There was a Kingsize, Double and a sofa pull out bed for the 4 of us. There’s a small kitchen with coffee machine and microwave and mini fridge with freezer section. Bars and restaurants open till 21:30 maybe due to quiet season. Breakfast was included and was lovely but everyone’s opinion is different as one or two of my group thought omelete was tasteless. Monkeys, Hogs and Horses in the area as you go for a walk to there mini museum at the bottom of there many acres of land. Lots of fauna and flora to explore and bird watching. A 4x4 car was great to have but not needed but the 7min drive from main road to Resort is good but might be harder on rainy day with a normal low powered car. We were only there one day wish I had stayed longer. 15-20 min drive to local town of Tabacon the surviving town of eruption many many years ago. Amazing activities all the way round the volcano Zip Wire, tree top Bridge walks and Waterfall on other side of Volcano.
