We stayed at Nayara and were treated with the wonderful breakfast (included with our stay) every morning. The breakfast had so many options that were local (plantains, black beans & rice, meat & potatoes) and also had an omelet station and coffee served with a french press. They even provided sandwiches to take so that you don't have to buy lunch.

We also ate here for dinner one night and it was just ok. The options are not that original and are fairly pricey. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was pretty good but not enough to eat several nights in a row. Try Sushi Amor (the other restaurant at the hotel) instead and then come here for dessert and coffee.

To be fair I only ate dinner and saw the reception area. The reception area was actually quite nice, open spacious, several lap tops laying around on the large coffee table for guests to use in a very classy and relaxed atmosphere.
The restaurant might have been in south beach. My wife had fish that was dry and overcooked. I had vegetarian. Presentation was fancy. Price for a few bits of eggplant and some assorted vegetables was high. The serving size was as if it was Tapas instead of an entree. The waitstaff were all well groomed, excellent english to the point that you wondered if you were in Costa Rica or Miami. Not very friendly either. The lighting was a bit too bright. I guess I just felt like I was in the "local eatery to be seen place" rather than a Costa Rican Hotel with local flavor.
