The Sleeping Indian Guesthouse

We stayed two nights: walking distance to all the restaurants, sodas and markets. The host Peter booked us all the things that we needed with discounts and also gave us a lift to Baldi Hotsprings. Stay here, the room was clean and confortable! The staff is friendly and helpfull.

Staying here was like visiting with relatives. Very warm and friendly staff. Extremely helpful in anything you need. Peter offered us rides for less than taxi's would charge. Tours we're booked at awesome prices!!! Great location, walking distance to many restaurants!! Rooms were comfortable, private and warm showers. Will def be staying here when visting fortuna.

Peter is very friendly. He helped me out with my tours and restaurants ... Great
Recommendations.
The place is very clean, has hot showers and is just off the main strip behind the church which is great because it is quiet for sleeping at night but has quick access to all the restaurants.
Peter even offered to give me a 20 min ride to meet some friends!

I was a walk-in at the Sleeping Indian- and how lucky I was to stumble across it! Peter showed me around town and made me feel very welcome. The room was nice and clean, bright, and private. My shower never ran out of hot water either, which is always a plus when I travel. The location is perfect, especially if you want to join in on local adventures (Peter can get great rates for these too). Everyone in Costa Rica was so nice and I can't wait to get back!

Room Tip: My room wasn't directly facing the main street, which was great since I go to bed a little earli...

Peter was a very welcoming and friendly host and we felt comfortable from the moment we stepped into the door. Eventough there was some construction going on (because he's improving the kitchen) we haven't been distrubed at all. Peter only took over the hostel a couple of weeks ago he's trying to help you with every issue you have (foodplace, etc.) and already has some good connections regarding tours (you have to ask for Gerald, the best tourguide, we have ever met). There are only 4 rooms, so reservation in advance might be recommanded. We came back after our first stay a couple day later and would definitly come back. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean with hot shower. The kitchen is small (that's why he is expanding it) but you find there everything you need to cook (we mostly cooked at the hostel) and there is delicious coffee and fruits offered every morning.

Room Tip: Room No 6 with a Kingsizebed is the best.
