Cabinas Jerry was a cute and relaxing place to stay in La Fortuna. The owner, Roger, gave us a great price on a private room with private bath, TV, Wifi, and shared kitchen.
When my partner and I had just arrived, new mattresses were being delivered - that's some awesome upkeep! Roger also has great deals on tours/hikes in the area-the hike was the highlight of my trip! The Cabinas is a clean and close to the bus stop and main streets.

My girlfriend and I took a bus into La Fortuna, and as we were getting out of our bus, we were greeted by Roger of Jerry's Cabinas. We didn't have any accommodations booked, so we listened to Roger and checked out Jerry's Cabinas. The place is about 500 meters from the bus terminal, and very close to Volcan Arenal. They had rooms with private baths ($12 per person) or shared baths ($7 per person). This is an amazing price for the cabinas provided. The place was clean and very comfortable. Roger was also very knowledgable of all the tours/expeditions in the area, and had all the connections for us to grab these tours for the best prices. I'm very glad to have to met Roger and would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through La Fortuna.

The cabins are average, nothing special, the kitchen is dirty and not really well equipped but for a private room for just 7 dollars pp. it is totally fine. But he totally ripped us of booking a shuttle and telling us the boat that costs 10 dollars is included etc. and in the end we found out that the boat is only 3 $ and that we paid too much. Btw. All the tours they are offering are too expensive (but that's everywhere in la fortuna) and u can easily do them on your own!! (Climb the volcano, take a bus to rio Celeste for a day trip etc)

Went there 3 friends, for the first time the owner said 12 USD with A/C but at night we tried to turn it on but it doesn't work! When we went to ask why, he was very angry and started screaming and wanted to charge us 15 USD per each for the A/C! One of us just left!!
Any way the place itself just a few minutes walk from the town, the location not in the main area! Very quiet, clean and there is a kitchen!

Good place to be at. Nice and quiet. 2 minutes walk from the town. So if you like getting away from all the madness here is the place. Super cheap at night and the owner is super nice and helpful. Made our experience here in fortuna a lot easier. Roger (the owner) can help you find your tour destination too for cheaper than the ones in town ... Free wifi and works way better than the other overcrowded hostels
