You get to gallop, canter, and trot. SOOO much fun. The guide was very good and pointed out lots of amazing animals. We saw a sloth and a family of spider monkeys. The tour starts at the springs hotel so it is very close to town and other hotels. The guides name that we had was Marvin so ask for him. Unlike rides in the USA where the guide always goes first and you can only walk following the giude, here the guide lets you go first and ride the horse as you see fit (Galloping).

Favor anular comentario.

I was the only person on this ride, so had my own private tour. Very scenic ride around the volcano. Open fields and forest, expansive views. Even saw a family of wild pigs!

The view was extraordinary on our ascent to a viewpoint of the Arenal volcano. Unfortuately my horse (Muneca) wandered to the right and lagged behind.while another horse kicked one person. Other horses were better.

This was an amazing horseback ride but our guide did not speak English so we didn't get to ask many questions and the ones that we did ask weren't answered correctly. He tried but it just would have been better if we got a little education, history or conversation with the tour. If you are just looking for beautiful views this is great.
