We stayed 2 nights at Cerro Azul after spending one night in a resort where we took advantage of the hot springs. We booked Cerro Azul due to its TA ranking and its good value as we wanted a nice B&B to kick off the day and enjoy outdoor activities in Arenal (and not overpaid for a room or a hotel where we would spend the nights only). Cerro Azul was definitely a good option. It is located outside Arenal, so be advised that you might need a car to move around. Check in was easy and we were welcomed by Alvaro, owner and manager of this family run property of bungalows. Rooms are basic, though large, nice and clean. Breakfast was also great. Alvaro was very helpful when asked for directions and advise on the different activities in Arenal and he also helped us booking a rafting trip.
I would definitely recommend Cerro Azul who someone looking for a good value.More
