From the great cabins (very clean, wonderful view, very calm) to the lovely and very helpful couple running the place as well as the individually made breakfasr - everything was absolutely perfect. Wonderful last 3 nights in Costa rica. If the wheather allows there is also a lovely pool.

We spent our first two nights in Costa Rica at the Hotel Mango Valley. We arrived after dark from the airport on a holiday weekend, but Dovilla arranged for a lovely dinner to be delivered for us. We were a party of six. Each adult couple had a nice, clean cabin with a queen bed, and our two teenage girls stayed in the cabin with two twin beds. Our cabin had a jacuzzi and a deck with two rocking chairs. Our friends had a two room cabin as well as their own deck and rocking chairs. The breakfasts were delicious! The hosts were ever so helpful and accommodating - providing advice, directions, and even helping us with our GPS so that we could find Poas, La Paz, and our next hotel! The girls enjoyed the pool, and the adults enjoyed the walking path and the rocking chairs. This was the perfect start to our Costa Rican vacation!

We spent a weekend in Mango Valley enjoying the beautiful view and nice little cabins. The two days we had were definitely too short to see and enjoy everything Mango Valley has got, it is an amazing place. The owners are lovely and we felt very welcomed. Also the breakfast service was brilliant, exactly what you wish for after a relaxing evening and night in this beautiful area.

We choosed Hotel Mango Valley for our first night in Costa Rica. It is really close to the Alajuela Airport (30 minutes) and the Poas Volcano national park (30 minutes drive). The rooms are lovely and if you have the option, choose one with a deck : the sunsets and the sunrines in the valley are amazing. The pool is charming and the staff, Dovile and Jose are really kind and helpul.... they even put a bottle of wine, some beers and other stuff in your room, because they know that people stopping by mango valley hotel are back from a long day of traveling.

Kudos to Dovile and Jose for managing such a great B&B.

Room Tip: Don't hesitate to ask them in advance for a diner of you are planning to check in late in the af...

A beautiful quiet country B&B. i used this place as my first night in Costa Rica and then my last 2 nights. i had a beautiful cabin and my terrace looked out onto Volcano Poaz. the breakfast was excellent. the price was very good compared to some other places and Jose took us on a tour of the volcano and the Le Paz waterfall gardens. it is a little out of the way but that is what makes it such a peaceful place to visit.

The last 2 nights of our honeymoon we had decided to take a break from the lunacy of Puerto Viejo and head back into the mountains to hit the reset button and totally relax. We could not have chosen a better hotel. A $10 cab ride from Grecia we were met with the gorgeous views and superb hospitality from Jose Luis and his family. The hotel was a great base to explore the surrounding countryside including Poas volcano and Saarchi (although we will remember to not book a return visit at Easter since the town - like the rest of Costa Rica tends to shut down from the day before Good Friday thru Easter Monday). Lovely rooms, a satisfying breakfast and terrific views - plus a very welcome climatic break from the coastal heat - we will be back.

Room Tip: Be sure to pay a little extra for the cabins with the pool/valley view!!

This was the perfect place to stay after our flight into San Jose. It was only a half hour drive from the airport and a beutiful drive thru the countryside. Very nice rooms and great breakfast. We woke up to beautiful views from our rooms. It was the perfect place for our first day in Costa Rica.
