Love this place: surrounded by coffee plantation, views of mountains and Poas volcano, cascading terraces give your legs a nice work out, a newly built infinity pool and many more...
Our kids have plenty of space to play around and run in a fresh air. Breakfast was amazing: they get their eggs daily from the pasture fed hens, a farm located just up the road. Freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee awaits you early in the morning, although you can make your own in fully appointed rooms.
The owners Dovile and Luis are always available to help you with getting a car, ordering a pizza or organizing a tour of Water Gardens...
A great place, will be back in February!

Mango Valley is one of our favorite places in Costa Rica Period. Surrounded by coffee plantations, dancing clouds and beautiful rolling hills. It has a feeling of floating in heaven. We live in the city of San Jose, Costa Rica and for us it is a perfect get away. It's quiet, peaceful, and serene. The breakfast which is included is a healthy serving of eggs, bread, fruit, and fresh juice. What's the best part of this cute little place? The owners Jose Luis and Doville of course. They are sweet, kind, hospitable and always make guests feel welcome. A side trip for Lunch or dinner...walk up the hill to Villa Cipresse. There is a beautiful restaurant with kind owners, delicious food surrounded by beautiful gardens. Overall we'd say this is one of the best kept secrets in Costa Rica and well worth it!

Room Tip: ask for the rooms with the private terraces.

The Hotel is wonderful, the hosts are just the best, like best friends:) The place is amazing. i think its the best place to stay when you come in into CR, San Jose is really ugly and does not feel very safe, while here its the same distance from Airport, but its calm nice and the views I can not even start to describe. We also chose the place to be our base when we have to stay in the centre while going from one side of the country to the other. Honestly the best place ever that I stayed.

The Owners Dovile and Jose are fantastic host. They go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. They gave us their phone number and said that if when we were out and had any trouble with directions or translation to call them. The breakfasts were wonderful. The accommodations were exceedingly clean. I would stay here again.

Staying at Hotel Mango Valley set the tone perfectly for an amazing Costa Rican vacation. We arrived late at night, and were immediately met outside when we pulled up. Jose Luis gave us a great, warm welcome and showed us to our room, which was actually a huge, spacious cabina with full kitchenette (burner, utensils/dishes, refrigerator, microwave). In the morning, we awoke to find a beautiful view of the Costa Rican central valley from our private patio. Breakfast was served at the time of our choosing in a separate cabina, during which Jose Luis and Dovile would share stories and provide tremendously helpful advice and recommendations for things to do and see in the area. They gave us maps with detailed directions, suggestions for places to eat, and honest opinions about local attractions. The rooms are super comfortable and the price is a phenomenal value, but the warmth and friendliness of the owners are definitely what makes Hotel Mango Valley the wonderful establishment it is. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Grecia or the surrounding region, and we hope to have the opportunity to return soon ourselves.

We stayed at Hotel Mango Valley for 4 days. We enjoyed every minute. It's a fairly quiet location & we weren't looking for the most busy of areas. It was a relaxing vacation. The owners and staff were more than helpful. We were interested in excursions and tours. Mango Valley offers packages for excursions that were very cost effective. My Spanish isn't the best, but they speak quite a few languages. The rooms were simple but had everything we needed. Also, the breakfast here was great. If you're looking for something simple and beautiful, this is a great choice.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms are a great choice :-)

take our recommendation and stay here. Jose Luis and Dovile are perfectly suited for the B & B business, hard workers, personable, helpful in every way, they will make your stay one to remember. When we left, it was like leaving family. The scenery is beautiful and the surroundings serene. We promise, you'll go back.
