I am a US citizen living in Costa Rica. I have stayed at this hotel many times and would highly suggest it to anyone. It has a real Costa Rican style to it and the owners are very involved and helpful. They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport no matter what the hour and at no charge, and all of their staff are very friendly and helpful.
Their restaurant is a steakhouse and serves typical Costa Rican food and is very good.

The Hotel is located only a few minutes from the airport. The entrance hall is spacious and the stuff at reception very friendly. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. The water of the pool is cold but refreshing and the breakfast buffet is great. The Hotel is ideal for an overnight after arrival or before departure, also for groups. The transportation to and from the airport is free.

We stayed at this hotel on the last night of our trip. We chose this hotel due to its location...a few minutes from airport. Thank goodness we did not start our trip here. The room was roomy with 3 beds (1 for each of us) but it was musty. The air condition worked but the bathroom was gross. There were ants all over the sink and bath towels, which smelled. There was hot water but becareful because it is HOT. The bathtub had a ring around it and it looked like dirt. Breakfast was buffet style (typical bfast) and good. There was a computer room with 2 computers. We did not venture out and we did not use the swimming pool. The hotel will coordinate a taxi to take you to the airport but after waiting about 30 minutes, I had to ask about our taxi and they asked an employee to take us.

situations like thi will never going to happen again, the hotel has changed a lot in the last year, our focus is the guest and 100% guest satisfaction is our goal.
All the personal is changed and our new staff is trained to be at the guest service.

Here is my story: We needed a place to stay near the airport. We were not looking for anything fancy. this place IS NOT FANCY! However, it fit our needs for the night. Place was clean, food was good (must try chicken soup), and the people were as nice as they could be. It was the eqivalent to staying in a plain hotel at home. A place to sleep, eat, and bathe. We checked out the next morning and the owner drove us to the airport...sweet! I can't complain......I've seen much worse.

Place we originally wanted to stay was booked up and it was getting late so we settled on the Hotel Aeropuerto because of its nice location relative to the airport. This experience almost single-handedly ruined our otherwise awesome trip to CR. Rude and ignorant staff, way too expensive at $93 for the night, smelled bad, looked bad, noisy, AC only half-worked, shower was like a fire hose, scalded my foot trying to get the shower to work. Should have slept in the car.
