We were blessed to stay at Casa Marin B&B for one night at the start of our trip and for two nights at the end of our trip.

Jody was beyond wonderful. She made us feel right at home and was very helpful in showing us around the town, taking us to delicious restaurants, shuttling us to and from the airport and even taking us around to run some errands on our last day. She was a delight to talk to and after just a few short hours we felt as though we had known her for years.

The homemade breakfast will be the best you eat in Costa Rica and even overall. We are already craving some of Jody's homemade banana, pineapple, mango bread.

We stayed in both rooms and both were immaculate, large, bright and comfortable. We also enjoyed laying out by the pool and taking a swim in the afternoon.

Jody also arranged our transportation to the La Fortuna area at a very reasonable price and in a clean and comfortable van.

We would definitely recommend Casa Marin to anyone who is going to visit Costa Rica, Jody goes above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one.

Room Tip: Both are excellent and very clean, there are no bad rooms here!

We began and ended our wonderful trip to Costa Rica with a stay at Casa Marin.Jody and Wilson were most accomodating and gracious hosts providing assistance with dinners, the rental car agency, touring, recommending B & B's, and early morning (4:00 am) ride to the airport.
We would not hesitate to recommend Casa Marin for it's relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and great accomodatrions. Our cabina by the pool was beautifully decorated and we especially enjoyed the comfy bed, soft pillows, and lovely shower not to mention the awesome breakfast, the best on our five weeks of travel. Thanks again Jody for all your help in making our trip such a pleasant experience. Mardell V

We stayed at Casa Marin two nights prior to our sad departure from Costa Rica. What a way to top off a fantastic trip! Jody and Wilson went out of their way to pick us up late at night at the San Jose bus station and then took us to the airport two mornings later. Jody even packed us a fantastic breakfast to go which was most appreciated. It was the perfect way to start the long journey home. And Alajuela itself was a pleasant surprise -- a very interesting place to visit with one of the most unbelievable cathedrals we've ever seen. We have every intention of returning and have no doubt where we will stay!!

We spent our last night in Costa Rica at Casa Marin before catching our early flight the next morning. We were recommended to stay here from another hotel manager, and SOOO glad we took the advice! We arrived and Jody welcomed us with open arms. We happened to be the only guests for the night so we began by relaxing by the pool with a good book after a whirlwind trip full of activities. Jody provided us with fresh cantaloupe while we were relaxing. For dinner, she drove us to a very local restaurant downtown, Jalapenos, and then took us on a small night tour of Alejuela. It was like a girls night out!! So comfortable, great conversation and amazing food! We stayed in the Dolphin Room, complete with AC, fan, TV and a comfy bed. The location was very close to the airport, but didn't notice the planes whatsoever during the night. To top it off, Jody was amazingly gracious and took us on the 10 minute drive to the airport at 4:30am!! She sent us on our way with a complete breakfast and the most amazing fruit bread ever! We were with Jody just over 12 hours, and it was like we were old friends! It was so comfortable and the perfect relaxing night before a very long day of traveling. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a relaxing, homey feel with a superior hostess to stay at Casa Marin. The rooms are beautiful, spotless and very unique in decorations. The price for the amenities and great company can't be beat!
Thank you Jody!!! Pura Vida!!

My husband and I spent just one night at Casa Marin the night before leaving for home. Yes, I agree with others, Jody was very welcoming, and the room was the nicest we had stayed at for our 10 nights in Costa Rica. Jody picked us up at an agreed location and offered to stop at a market for snacks. She also offered to chauffeur us to town for dinner. We decided on take-out, and our personal guide Jody recommended an excellent restaurant with mexican-style food. She ordered for me as my interpreter. While the food was being prepared, she whisked me off for an impromptu tour of the cathedral in downtown Alajuela. Beautiful!! Then off to the market for some last minute items I wanted to purchase to take home. All the while she told me about the local area and what was what. I enjoyed her company, and she is like an old friend. She woke us in the a.m. with a pot of coffee and breakfast that we could take to the airport since our flight was an early one.

Excellent room -- the beds are comfy and the room was clean, nicely decorated, with a coffee pot and also drinks available in the small refrigerator. We wish we found Jody earlier in our trip.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Mermaid Room with two queen beds. Spacious room for 2 queen beds, kitchen, eating area and bathroom.
