Great food but it's all fried. Not the healthiest place to eat, but if you want quantity, you'll get it here. very reasonably priced. great staff.

“SLOW!!!”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Quality and price did not match. Slow service also. Not what I expected. Food was cold and servers disinterested.

“Not worth your time or money, even with coupons”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Passing through Tuscaloosa and only staying the night, we saw a large crowd at the Shrimp Basket, right by our hotel. After waiting about 20 min for a table, we sat and ordered a dozen raw oysters, and the "all you can eat" steamed shrimp.

The shrimp came first, and after about 15 min, our oyster appetizer came, with a brief and mumbled apology from our server. They were watery and not near cold enough.

The original order of steamed shrimp came with 3/4 of the plate covered with potatoes, with a small piece of corn, and about 8 hard to peel, flavorless and tough shrimp. As it was "all you could eat" you would think that seconds could be readily had, but not so. It took about

“Easy access from the interstate and good food”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Stopped by here on our way through Tuscaloosa for a quick bite. It's off exit 73, McFarland drive. The food was good though a little pricey for the type restaurant it is. I had the shrimp and oyster combo with fries and it was prepared very well and good but nothing special. My wife had the blackened white fish and shrimp with baby potatoes and it was excellent if you like spicey. If we go thay way again I will stop by. Both dishes were around $13 each. Service was good but there weren't many people there when we first got there. By the time we finished it had filled up so it must be popular with the locals.
