“We've attended 7 shows since it opened last year”

Tuscaloosa Amphitheater has done a great job of getting an eclectic variety of shows so far. The area is clean. There are plenty of stalls in the ladies room. I haven't eaten anything so can't review the food. Our tickets have been in the top seats and the bottom level, center and side. Good views all. We have tickets to 2 more upcoming shows. It's a great night out.

Our best advise is to park in the FREE intermodal parking deck downtown and take the FREE shuttle. It takes you right to the entrance of the amphitheater and picks you up at the same place. It's a breeze getting out of the crowded area when you take the shuttle.

“Great Venue”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

I've seen two shows here and the facilities are amazing! Lines for food or restroom are never very long because of the design of the place which makes for an awesome experience!

“Concert with Ringo”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

This was my first trip to the amphitheater. I was unaware of parking and parked in free city parking at the top of the hill. I found out that there was free parking at the entrance of the amphitheater even though "touts" were trying to wave you into fee parking on the entrance road. ( beware). It is very close to downtown and restaurants. Seating is very nice with cup holders in the chair-backs. We had the cheaper seating behind the box seats. I found out that this was the best seating since the more expensive seats were on the front floor and it looked like you had to stand all the time to see. A coworker said he had a seat in the rear of the front section and it curved up enough you could sit down and see. The sound system was good, but seemed to fade in and out in clarity as the night went on. The projection screens on either side were a help in close ups of the performers. The security patted everyone down entering looking for cans or bottles I guess. I chose the coed security rather than the large hairy guy. There was a plentiful supply of food and beverage vendors and lines were not long except to get in the front seating section. Overall a great place to visit.

The Amphitheater is a marvelous addition to the Tuscaloosa area. It just adds that much more to this already lively city.

“New and architecturally handsome”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

Located on the Black Warrior River in downtown Tuscaloosa, the Amp holds around 7,000 people. Performers aren't usually nationally prominent but definitely regional hits. We attended the 4th of July concert and fireworks last year; a festive atmosphere. Screens allow performers to be viewed from any seat. Sound system is good, though always louder than I prefer.
