Check-in was a delight. The clerk took note that we were Wyndham Rewards members and had a gift bag ready for us when we arrived. Since they had run out of the type of room that had been reserved, we were up-graded to a King Suite. The room was huge. It came with a sink, refrigerator, and microwave. There was a flat screen television in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. The mattress and bedding was some of the finest I have used. After a long day of travel, the pool and hot tub were a welcome experience. The next morning, breakfast selections included waffels, eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, juice, ooffee and pastries. The staff did a fine job of restocking each breakfast item. Overall, my wife and I were spoiled by the service and the room. It was by far the best stay during our vacation.
Alison took our last minute reservation over the phone and was wonderful. She was fun, engaging and left me feeling genuienly concerned that we have a pleasant stay. We had stayed here earlier in the year with our 2 dogs and were very pleased. On the previous stay our single King room had bamboo floors and was very clean and quiet. On arrival we were greeted by Alison, whom seemed to know who we were on entry welcoming us and the dogs. She suggested a wonderful place for dinner, Chuck's, over by the college & it was fantastic. When we got to the room, 201, it had stained carpet, smelled of a pet friendly room, but other wise was clean. The linens were of good quality and fresh and the bed was comfortable. Because we had such a good check in experience we decided to not say anything and stay in the room. The next morning we went down to the typical no charge breakfast. The attendant was friendly but the quality and mix of offerings were jsut ok. On returning to the room I pulled out the chair to sit at the desk and found it to be unbelievably stained and melted chocolate in the seat. We gathered our belongings and packed up the car. As I walked by the front desk I mentioned to the manager our experience. She immediately sympathized with me and offered to reduce the bill, which I accepted. She went on to update our profile to only get the single King with the bamboo floors going forward. She also mentioned that when you request a pet friendly room with 2 queens, they come with carpet. The bamboo is the only way to go. We will stay there again in Oct. with the dogs in a single King.
