The cafe is cafeteria style with a choice of several sandwiches (made to order), salads and a daily special (hamburger and tater tots the day we were there). Friendly staff, air-conditioned, quit - lots of pictures of the history of Bellingrath Gardens and Home on the walls. Lots of Coke products - gift shop attached as well.

soup, salad sandwich at reasonable prices, made to order sandwiches, not pre-made. i had ham/cheese (wanted chicken salad on chalk board, but they had none...and didn't wipe off the board either...) on wheat for $6.99 came w/c.
hips. bread was really whole wheat and sandwich was ok/good. soups offered were vegetable & italian wedding.
deserts include ice cream treats and various pies.
dining area expansive, next to very attractive courtyard.
alla in all...perfect? no, adequate and not all that bad.

After touring the gardens and home at Bellingrath, my wife and I ate at the cafe, adjacent to the gift shop. The prices were moderate - we had the fried shrimp and french fries. They were ok, but not really something you would go out of your way for. There are a large number of places to eat in the Mobile area which feature fresh seafood. Try one of those instead.

The cafe has a view of a fountain and blooming plants. It is roomy, air conditioned and a really nice place for lunch. It is adjacent to their gift shop. I had the vegetable lasagna and tomato florentine soup. Yummy. The lasagna had a crispy top and moist inside. The soup was seasoned just right. The side item was green beans. Most everyone had green beans left on their plates. My friends had ENORMOUS BLT sandwiches. They said they were very tasty. The value for the money is excellent and the restaurant is really clean and comfortable. If you are going to Bellingrath, make time to have lunch in the garden. Well worth it.
