We toured Bellingrath March 1st after the coldest winter in years. The camilleas were budded up with a few blossoms, tulips and daffodils were blooming, and there were many other beautiful plantings. If you are a home gardener, you can just delight in the idea of how lovely the gardens would be in full bloom. We especially loved the use of curley leaf parsley as a filler in with the decorative cabbages and daffodils. The gardens are so exquisitely designed and we loved the use of the artesian wells throughout to provide fountains and flowing streams. The river cruise was well-narrated and informative as well as lovely - some super homes to see! And then there is the home - wow! The collection of porcelain is incredible not to mention the silver, china, and glass. On top of all this beauty, the staff was so gracious, friendly, and informative. We had a lovely time and would certainly go back.
