i've travelled for business a few dozen times, typically in the US, first time in Shanghai. Gotta say this is the nicest hotel i've ever stayed at so far. At my rate of 1000RMB (US$130) I am exceedingly impressed, I haven't seen anything similar to this quality of materials, room size and service even in parts of US where land is basically free.
can't quite comment on location, other than it's about 8 min by foot and 3 subway stops from the "downtown" of the TV tower, and the maglev stop is within walking distance too. There is a parking lot accessible by elevator, two restaurants, both very reasonably priced ($10 per dish at the service quality of about a $40 restaurant, according to my perceptions) but then again, everything made in china is reasonably priced, no?More
