“Cold but cool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

I was there for the Shangai Travel Fair last month and the hotel is 5mins drive to the New Convention Center. The room is very clean and specious. There are no Gym or Spa FYI. The Breakfast was ok and I end up eating a boiled egg and a glass of orange juice (only half left). No Wifi in the room but free LAN connection. Oh yeah I was able to check-in very early at 5am. That was cool.

Tip: If you take a taxi with no meter, make sure you bargain real hard. Mr first Trip to the New Convention Center cost me RMB120, the second day only 40, yeah do the math :)

Nice hotel near de maglev station (7 minutes to/from Shanghai to the airport for 80 RMB return ticket) and near the International Exibiton Center (can go walking).
Had a problem with my booking and in the reception they were very helpful, although they spoke very little English.
The rooms are new, modern and clean. They don´t have wifi, but there is an Ethernet cable to plug your computer and connect to internet. There is safe box, but no minibar. TV has lots of Chinese channel but none in English or Spanish or any other. Good air conditioning and comfortable bed
Didn´t have time to go around the hotel, but seems there is not much to do or go unless you take a taxi. There is a convenience store next door, but don´t try to speak English with the girl…
Breakfast is OK. Don´t try to get a huge buffet though

Every room has a computer that allows the traveller to access net even if he /she isnt carrying their own laptop, the rooms and toilet are clean and comfortable , the breakfast buffet served a reasonable well laid platter , cabs are available easily to take you to your destination , the location is slightly away from the hub of the city .
Had a very comfortable stay .

I had a fantastic rate from Ctrip. Rooms were perfect....comfy and everything you can think of. Reception was friendly. It would be five stars all the way. Unfortunately there was a drunk person on the floor who for an hour created a huge ruckus. Had to telephone the reception and was worried he would pound my door or something. It took the security atleast half an hour to get the situation under control. Not a very comforting situation to be in when one is in a foreign country and has less than a working knowledge of the local language. The failure on the part of the hotel is the time it took to control the situation. I complained to the duty manager the next day but was not even aware of the situation that took place at nite. Of course he gave me his business card and an assurance of a big discount on my next stay.

This hotel was slightly located away from the busy shanghai bustling town. I think this was worth a 4.5stars hotel, where the bed and room amenities were up to standard. However, the selection of english tv channels was limited. This hotel is located next to a nice lake. There was no free wifi in room, where you have to get it at the lobby but watch out for the mosquitos while you are sitting there. Breakfast had a wide variety of food to serve international tastebuds. Overall, it is up to international standards. There is no free shuttle bus to town, if you dont mind to pay for a taxi ride to town (RMB75+ above for one way). Then, this hotel is just perfect for a relaxing peace of mind.

It's clean and furnishing has been just renovated.
Neighborhood is nothing and boring and the hotel is facing a highway. However, If you have time and not carrying heavy, you can walk to a shopping area which is about 2km away and has Carrefour with other shopping complex. On another side, you can walk or take a taxi to Long Yang metro station (Line 2, 8) which is just the same 2 km, to downtown or to airport. Maglev train station to airport also situates hereby. From/ to airport, you only pay RMB 50 (maglev train), or < RMB 10 (by metro). Way more economical than taxi (around RMB 150)!

The not so good thing is hotel staff almost cannot speak English or other foreign languages. Breakfast is basic, and you have to make yourself to eat before 9.30am. After than, it is lunch time for entire hotel staffs...

Anyway, this hotel seems rather serving local business people. There is pro and con, depending on your trip purpose.

The last thing is there is no fridge in guest rooms!
