The location of this hotel is not great for tourists but is a nice choice for business travelers. The rooms are very much standard only. Nothing memorable. The breakfast was very good. The rooftop lounge has a good view but oddly faces away from the better views of the city. Its also a maze to find it and the live music was far too loud for only 5-6 customers.

All in all, its a good choice.

First visit to Shanghai and this hotel was the perfect location, close to everything we wanted to see and the metro station was just across the road. The staff we very helpful when required and the check-in and out processes were very efficient. We ate in the revolving restaurant and the view is incredible, the food was not quite as good as the view unfortunately.

Room Tip: The higher the better!

Hotel has an excellent location basically in the middle of everything (People's park, just next to the Nanjing Rd pedestrian area). You can reach it easily by metro from the airport (around 45 min) if you're on the move during rush hours. Rooms are pretty basic, but the overall facilities are great. Top bar has amazing views with drinks around 8 - 10 euros. Only downside is that the hotel restaurants and lobby bar are expensive even on hotel stanards, with possibly the most expensive basic fried noodles in Asia about 13 euros. Also the Wi-Fi connention is very bad, indeed. Good business hotell and great service.

Room Tip: Ask a room towards People's Park.

After my 7th stay I can still say - this hotel is superbly run. The manager Maurice Cook keeps the hotel running like a well tuned clock. The hotel is spotless. The staff are attentive and caring. The rooms are very good. The position is terrific, right across from Peoples Square and the metro. The buffet lunches and dinners are very good and worth sampling. The excutive floor is small but has a cosy atmosphere and is well controlled and run by 'Cathy'. The offerings are plentiful and varied. The view across to Nanjing Road & Pudong at night is a highlight. All in all a very good place to stay when on business in Shanghai. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed here on our last night in China in October 2011 (after visiting the canton fair and heaps of factories). I have to admit i was relieved when the taxi arrived, this nice! Very clean! Quite modern! The only issue we had was the revolving restaurant at the top feels extremely wobbly and made us feel thevwhole tower might be wobbling. Obviously it was just the floor that rotes around. This hotel is very centrally located! Would highly recommend!
