There are few Malaysian restaurants here in Shanghai and one of the best is Cafe Sambal, set up by Mr Cho. They also have a branch, which was opened much earlier, in Beijing.
Love the satay chicken here, which is presented prettily, and tastes fabulous. Other notable dishes include beef rending, Capitan chicken, and eggplant cooked in chilli. Prices are on the highish side, as compared to what we pay when back home, but they do also have set lunches and brunches on weekends, where dishes are rotated.
Definitely a must try.
