I am a big fan of Jean Georges. Frankly, I was disappointed with Jean Georges' restaurant in Shanghai, it's nowhere near as good as the Jean Georges in NYC. But Mercato was a revelation. I'm glad he decided to open an Italian in Shanghai. It renewed my faith in JG overseas. The place is really busy. The decor is great. And the food was to die. I loved the fresh homemade ricotta cheese and figs. It's a must for the starters.
