Description: VUE Restaurant is a classic European restaurant designed to create an elegant home-style dining experience. The decor transitions seamlessly from hanging racks stacked with culinary paraphernalia to book-lined shelves and sofas alongside eclectic collections of model cars, pipes and vintage corkscrews. Featuring traditional continental cuisine, it is not only a place to celebrate and entertain, but an ideal venue for business dinners and champagne brunches (offered on Sundays). At each tableside service, your chef will prepare “á la minute” signature dishes such as Caesar Salad, Lobster Bisque, Steak Tartar and Crêpe Suzette.

First up it is 100 entry fee but that includes a limited "free" drink. We went to see the outdoor area with day beds and a jacuzzi and in our hour and a half it seemed 200 people had the same idea!!! Trouble is that all the best seats / beds / tables in the smallish area were reserved so there is no real room left to relax and admire the awesome views down the Bund and across to Pudong.

Stylish and tasteful with a good drinks list.

With the number of picture takers arriving for the views I can understand the cover charge (probably a good earner to as many people seemed to not have a drink - just took photos and left) but by 9:30pm none of the reserved tables were occupied so the space was wasted.

Vue is situated in the high quality Hyatt on The Bund. it comprises a bar (entry only free for residents or if you have dinner reservation), a nice but small roof terrace with comfy beds to sip cocktails and order yummy snacks and a rather odd jacuzzi. The jacuzzi sits about 8 people and in the centre of the terrace, surrounded by people fully clothed...looking at 8 half naked people....very odd. The view of the Bund is pretty awesome.
The bar (one floor beneath the terrace) is contemporary and has Lots of space, the tall tables by the windows being the premier focus point.
The main restaurant (a floor below the bar) mixes both contemporary and home comfort styles. Huge tables with huge sofas and comfy chairs are great, however naturally make you relaxed and a tad sleepy after dinner! At €150 per family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) it's not the place to go on a budget, however the location, "view", food and service are what you pay for and as overall theses were all excellent, no real complaints from us.

We started with the Joselito Ham and Parmesan cheese as a shared starter (350rmb) this was a great choice as it was totally delicious, albeit I expected a little more for the price.

We followed with Norwegian Salmon special which was excellent (portion, presentation and taste), a sirloin steak which was satisfactory. The kids (a decent kids menu provided) had the mini angus burgers (2) and fries (yummy) and a Chicken with mash potato. This was the only disappointment as the chicken was 'nuked' or cooked to death and was so dry it was impossible to bite. We addressed this when we were asked "was everything ok?" And while the balanced feedback was well accepted it took a second conversation after requesting the bill, for the chicken dish (Untouched) was removed from the final bill.
Staff spoke great English, were professional and very courteous throughout. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

As the name clearly announces, the view from this 30th floor restaurant is gorgeous, with views of the Bund and the river. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the view was matched by the service. From making the reservation, to our final exit, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is cleverly designed to look like a large kitchen and pantry with food and wine on display. Some dishes are prepared in the middle of the restaurant by chefs who are quite skilled with sharp knives and fire! Oh, and the food? As good as the view!

What a great find! I loved this place. Cute, chic bar to grab a yummy drink before you dine in the dining room on delicious food. We shared the Seafood platter , they were wonderful. And I had a great dish of white aspargus from the special's menu. My friend had the Sirloin steak and she said it was delicious as well. I will return and would recommend to a friend!

The view (directly opposite the Perl tower) provides a spectacular view towards the Bund and Pudong. It is a very different experience and offers a new perspective.
The young Austrian chef de cuisine and his friendly and competent team provide a perfect selection of high quality dishes.
Whoever did the interior design of the restaurant - thank you! It has a spacious feeling, warm and welcoming, with nice individual touches that make it memorable. (Loved the selection of old cameras and pocket knifes on the wall).

Overall a highly recommended brunch venue.
