A lovely little garden, amazingly peaceful considering it's in the middle of a huge, noisy chaotic city.
My advice would be, never go when it is a Chinese holiday ( that goes for every attraction in Shanghai). We wandered around the garden several times slowly stopping and sitting to watch the fish. There are nice little pathways to wander off the main track. Just outside the park are many stalls and shops selling all sorts of things, there are touts selling fakes stuff but usually a firm no thank you will get rid of them.
