I and my wife visited the garden on April 30th 2013. Firstly its very tricky to find the place and many locals didn't know the actual garden and they kept pointing us to the shops on the street around. We finally found the tourist information center and they guided us to reach the place. The garden itself has lot of cultural value, but as a place we found it just OK. Its not big and can be seen in about an hour at the max. The pavilion hall entrance was way to crowded. So as a tourist, its good for a one time visit to wipe it off your check list in places to see in Shanghai.
