The Bund is the sophisticated heart of modern Shanghai. You should visit in the evening to see the full effect of the illumunated buildings and the lights across the river and on the boats that go by. A place to promenade (as long as the weather’s nice) and find some fine dining to rival London and New York

Must see in China. Breathtaking views on the river and opposite side of the river. However, you need to accept not to be alone there

Loved the tour of the city with Sophie. The Jewish museum/synagogue was fascinating. The Bund. The Maglev and lunch was a nice taste of China

You can spend an hour or so just walking along the river edge taking pics of this, or in fact, having your pic taken. Get yourself a drink or ice cream to as it can be very warm!

The Bund definitely worth seeing both in the day and the evening. Be prepared for its chaos, it was extremely busy all trying to get a picture in front of the Pearl. There are several flower walls which are really pretty along the Bund and several access points from the city. Crossing the river in the Bund tourist tunnel (entrance located by tourist information) is also worth factoring time for, this takes you to the opposite bank to the Pearl Tower, just get a return trip what a psychedelic ride as we were not expecting to ride a car. Once you get there it is worth going to the top of the bottle opener building to floors 100 and 76, a short walk through a shopping precinct. The glass floor of 100 was very disappointing, as it was not all glass as thought, but just a few glass panels. However the views of the city from here were amazing.

The world-famous Bund is a river promenade in the very city centre of Shanghai. The view on the river, the impressive sky line of Pudong and the colonial buildings is a must for every visitor of Shanghai.

If someone ask me what was the best experience I had in Shanghai, I will definitely say "Night view at the bund". I was very impressed by "A symphony of lights" in Hong Kong. But Shanhai night view was even beyond and above. If I can visit Shanghai again, I will definitely bring my DSLR and a tripod.

Romantic walk along the river day and night. Spectacular views of the city and river. Very safe to walk with police everywhere watching visitors
