“The Bund”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Go at night. All the buildings are lit up, as are the ferries going up and down the river. The lights will blow you away! It's like a huge esplanade, which you just walk along.

“Too cloudy/foggy/rainy to see anything”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

It's want the bund's fault but the rain and fog made it impossible to see anything. We could only make out a few buildings on the other side of the water. It was rainy the whole visit so we couldn't go back a better day but if you get the chance I'd suggest it.

“Bund at night”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

It was magical. We have walked on the riverside of the Bund at the daylight but the night walk, even in on a cold winter night it was worth the stroll. We took pictures of the Bund itself, pictures of ourselves with the Pearl as a backdrop and more pictures of the lit up ships on the river. A cool experience in more ways than one!!

“Interesting but limited”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

The Bund is a must-see place in Shanghai. The best time to go is dusk to see the lights but apart from some impressive looking shrines to capitalism there's not much else there, expect walk up it and back. You can get a ferry to the other side and see the big tower up close but don't bother going in, it costs nearly 200 Yuan. It is nice watching all the boats go up the river

“Pretty as a picture”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

It's not going to be the highlight of your trip, but a walk along or cruise by the Bund is a must when in Shanghai. The beautiful architecture and the waterfront can't be missed.
