I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers who enjoyed their visit to the Museum. While I had my favourite section (ceramics), I found the whole Museum to be well laid out and appreciated the way individual items were lit and well described (in English). I especially appreciated the fact that individual pieces covered so many different eras. I found it stunning in fact. Of course, like any museum, not all sections will appeal or even please everyone, but with the variety at the Shanghai Museum, it is well worth a visit to gain a further insight into China's history. And the fact that it is free, is a bonus!
