“Go for the Bronze collection”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

The museum has a great Bronze collection to boast of...but definitely not the best museum I've seen. The interiors aren't really impressive but given that the entry is free, I'd say its worth your 1hr.

“A must see if in Shanghai”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

This museum is beautiful. It has the feel of entering a luxury hotel when you enter into the atrium area. There is a lot to see here so allow several hours. There are many rooms to visit and a variety of items to view. Highly recommeded.

“A really interesting museum with a wonderful collection of porcelain”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

This large modern museum is really worth a visit. They have the most spectacular collection of chinese bronzes and porcelain as well as furniture, ethnic dress and calligraphy. There is also currently (October 2012) a really interesting exhibition of Faberge.

Convenient to get to. Easy by Metro. Has some dazzling displays and some ho hum. It's up to what you are most interested in but this is a worthwhile visit.

“Best Museum Ever”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Great museum with wonderful exhibits of Chian. Amazing how pottery and porcelain has survived for so long. The building itself is amazing. Great design and perfect for both visitors and the exhibits.
