This hotel could have a lot going for it.
It’s halfway between Terminal one and Two, with walkways to get to each terminal, so no shuttle required to get to and from the hotel. It is above a central plaza, where there are fast food outlets and a convenience store. It is from here that the Metro/Subway trains and Maglev train arrive and depart.
I had booked a day room at another airport hotel, but when I got there after waiting for an hour for their shuttle to collect me, I was told that they had been full the night before and didn’t have any rooms ready for me and couldn’t tell me how long it would be. So, the shuttle was going back to the airport, so I decided to go and try this hotel. Whilst, it looks new on the outside, sadly it is very dated on the inside. Even with a staff of 10 behind the front desk, it seemed to take for ever for them to find me a room and check me in.
The furniture in the room was very odd and it had a round bed. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. I had booked the room for 6 hours after a couple of long flights with a couple more to go, I decide to pull the curtains and have a sleep. However, what a surprise when I sat on the bed, it was as hard as the floor. I tried to settle down, but it took quite awhile to drift off to sleep, even though I was very tired. I did sleep for a couple of hours and then got up and took a cold shower. Yes, a cold shower, even letting the water run for 15 minutes on the full on hot position, the water was still cold.
This hotel is just shame, as it could have so much going for it!
