Crowne Plaza is in the fringes of the Puxi area.
Stayed here couple of times for work several years ago.
Decent size rooms with standard decor and ok tv, in-room drinks.
Some rooms could be smoky.
Apparently, rooms in the "new wing" are better.
In a residential neighbourhood.
There are nearby cheap places for dumplings, street noodles and flat fried bread(in the morning).
At night, the place becomes more lively and interesting to walk around a bit.
Service level is ok, staff were friendly but not all speak English.
Location isnt that great, doesnt really stand out and hard to pass up the other hotels in Shanghai for this one.
