JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square

I had the opportunity to be booked there twice by my company within the past months, before we got sent to another hotel. I would say that all of JW's employees are eager to please. They're very attentive and personable with their smiles. The standard rooms are really comfortable and luxurious with good views, and some of the amenities are great - the gym, pool and saunas. I wouldn't expect much from a typical hotel's restaurant, but this one has a good selection of continental and oriental food (I only had time for breakfast there). I wish my company would renegotiate a better rate with this hotel. The location alone is worth it - it's close proximity to People's Park, but not as crowded and less solicitors as in the other hotel,

My wife and I are Platinum Elite Members of the Marriott Hotel Chain and usually stay at their Hotels if possible. Last week we stayed 5 nights at this fine Hotel. Marriott has done everything right at their new Shanghai location at Tommorow Square. The service was outstanding, I have never had so much attention given us at any other Hotel we have ever stayed at. The First morning in their Cafe the Hotel General Manager Mr. Silvio Rosenberger greeted us at our table and wanted to make sure everthing was satisfactory with our room and the Service so far. What a fine gentlemen, he is a credit to the Marriott Chain. The next morning The Cafe Manager Mr. Siem Bierman greeted us as well and discussed the Hotel and its services and also gave us some tips for things to do in Shanghai. We were upgraded to a Suite on the 46th floor, more room than two people needed, beautifully appointed, Bathroom so large 4 people could be in it at the same time. New large Shower with Jacuzzi Shower heads, also the Bath was a Jacuzzi as well, new Flat screens TV's in both rooms and TV Speakers in both Bathrooms. What a great view of the Shanghai City. We decided to take our Breakfast in their Cafe located on the 38th Floor rather than use the Breafast provided at the Executive Club which is up on the 96th Floor. Suich a wonderful variety of Food. We visited their Exec Lounge most every night where complimentary Beverages and food were served around 5:00 PM, again great service here w/free access to the Internet and up-to-date daily newspapers in English including the daily USA TODAY. The Hotel was convenient to the popular Nanging Road and only 1 block to the Subway. I just can't say enough about this Beautiful Facility and the people who run it. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone

Room Tip: The higher floors have the best view, but then rooms start at the 38th floor, so most rooms have an...

The lobby is at 38th floor right at check in you can enjoy the view over Tomorrow's square. Basically anywhere in the hotel you can enjoy a nice view of Shanghai skyline
The hotel is beautiful, probably more for business trip rather than family or holiday however the location is excellent. The hotel is right on the square and in less than 10 minutes walking you can reach the famous Nanjing Road.
The hotel is pretty new and of a high standard. Rooms are nice and spacious while the service is excellent as you would expect in a Marriott Hotel. Breakfast at lobby level offers very good selection of food, pastries and fruits.
Considering the level of the hotel and the location the rate are quite competitive.

Room Tip: Corner room gives amazing view.

The hotel is modern and luxurious. Reception is on the 38th floor where there is a great lounge and bar for relaxing. I had a corner room which was quite large. The bathroom was also large with incredible views to the city. The rooms were well appointed and clean. Service was good if a bit formal. Breakfast was included and the buffet had everything you could want - Chinese and North American cuisine. Service in the restaurant was very good. There are three restaurants - we ate in 2 of them and both were good. Hotel was a good location. You are near Najing Road and can easily walk it to the Bund. Short cab ride to Yu Yuen Garden. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for view toward the river. Although all views are spectacular.

Had a nice stay at J.W. Marriott in Shanghai on November 2012. Overall stay was problem free and when something was needed, all was fullfilled in a very professional way. What can I say? If you look for a high class hotel in Shanghai in a great loacation, look no more.

We have stayed here twice as a special treat and it is amazing. Beds are beautiful and comfy. Food is great. Restaurants inside the lobby area are also fantastic. This is p[robably more expensive than I go for but it was well worth the treat.

I've been staying here multiple nights a month for the past few years. My visits have not always been trouble free but the staff is very helpful and proactive in resolving issues. I've noticed that they inspect my room before I arrive for issues encountered during past visits (bad shower head, for example).

I really appreciate the clean and reasonably appointed rooms. They feel nice yet not over the top. More importantly there is no stale smoke smell. This is unusual in China. Internet works well and the restaurants have good food and selection. Finally, the gym is large, bright and, well maintained.

Last month I brought my wife along. They helped book site seeing trips and even upgraded our room. Great location, great hotel.
