“Go for the food, not the bar”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

M1nt is divided into a shi-shi restaurant and a pretentious bar. While their claim to fame is the (extremely long) shark tank, that's about it for the bar. It's overpriced, overdone and over-the-edge. I do recommend making a reservation for dinner, however. The food is Asian fusion, and fused it was! I had the Peking duck and my friend had salmon. Both were cooked extremely well and the service was wonderful. We stayed for dessert, and had a chocolate cake you could dive into (that's how good it was). I definitely recommend it for the food, go see the sharks, but don't spend 100RMB on the cocktails....there are better places in Shanghai for that.

“One of the better clubs in China”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

First of all it's what they call a members club only. Now this you should read a bit flexible but if it tends to be busy forget about getting in. We got a reservation in advance for a table (4000 rmb) so at arrival we got up easy. They have two big rooms with nice music and a nice view from the 20ish floor. While busy the seats in general were good only for some reason once in a while a lot of people cluttered around. The drinks themself what to say, we ordered a couple of bottles and asked for b52's. The latter they didn't have but with a bit of work they showed up with something good.
On the side-note pay attention to what you get, we ordered from the card a Veuve Cliquot 2002 and they got us a 2004 without saying anything about it. While for us it's a small difference I think the least they should have informed us.
The crowd well as mentioned sometimes a bit busy. You see a lot of expats and some locals but it's expat driven. It may have something todo with the advertising that they are foreign-invested.
All in all a nice club with a good service.

“Decent club”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

This club was pretty cool. We had security guards with us the whole time and a huge table on the dance floor. The table prices and drink prices of are standard for clubs in China. They had dancers and decent music (China clubs are still behind on music) but overall a good time with friends! Enjoy

“Average but there must be better”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

We went to M1NT as part of the Shanghai Drunken Dragon pub crawl. The pub crawl was good but i felt this club was trying to hard. It was filled with expats and rich Chinese kids. It seemed a bit pretentious, was trying to hard, and was expensive on drinks. It was rammed and there was a good vibe, if not slightly hectic, and overall we had a good time. I'd have much preferred to have gone to a club which wasn't as expat focused. Does this exist in Shanghai? I wouldn't go here again and would probably find a smaller club tailored to all Chinese and not just the rich & elite.

“Was expecting much more”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

Make a reservation and make sure you get on the list otherwise you will run the risk of not getting in and being informed its a member only club and 2000rmb per table.
Cocktails around 100rmb but full of pretentious expats and lacking in atmosphere. Was expecting much much more.
Sharks where cool to take a look at, cocktail good but just not my type of place.
If you like hip chic pretentious places this is your spot!
