For the third time in 2 weeks, I had the good fortune of dining at Goga. We were a party of four and we shared the Kampachi Sashimi, wonderfully flavored with yuzu and white truffle oil and, as is so underlooked when serving sashimi, at the PERFECT temperature. The West Coast Lobster Roll, a Goga take on the New England classic, was, again, a treat of contrasts with the slightly chilled lobster meat set against a hot toasted roll. The cilantro and sriracha added wonderful layers of flavor.
Brad is amazing with dressings. Our Duck Confit Salad and SF Chinatown Chicken Salad were superb, the greens and the dressings blending and texturally contrasting superbly with the walnuts and the wonton crisps (and beautifully candied tomato). The Rib-Eye completed the evening.
The grill guys are fun and attentive - the crowd always young and buzzing.
Not to be missed when in Shanghai !! Book early la !!
