My wife and I went to the Lost Heaven on the Bund following the recommendations of many reviewers in Tripadvisor. The place was quite full of merry people, mostly expatriates, as we were able to figure out throughout the dim lighting of the premises. The menu was quite curious listing dishes with very arcane titles, so we kind of chose randomly. I am not quite sure whether the regions and tribes from which the recipes are supposed to come from are really for real. In any case, if they do exist at all, they are probably lost somewhere in heaven of nirvana. In any case, the food was very tasty and well prepared and the prices quite reasonable. Therefore, doubts about the ethnological foundations of the dishes are more than compensated for the originality of the taste.
