A fantastic restaurant serving up spicy spicy food from the Yunnan region as well as Burmese and Laos cuisine. Deliciously spicy and served by friendly staff in well designed dining room. The restaurant was very large and lively, not for a romantic night out. The bar was beautifully decorated but unfortunately on a cold february night the bar was no warmer inside than out. Service here was very slow given that there was only one other couple in at the time. The cocktail waiter didn't know how to make a hi ball. However sticking to the cocktail menu you would have no problem. A huge outdoor space will be a great place to sip a drink in the summer.
The restaurant is a must if you are in Shanghai. Not too expensive. Great staff, great food and great atmosphere. Just be aware it is not on The Bund therefore the views we had been expecting were not there. However this didn't detract from our experience and I will certainly be making this a regular place to eat in the city.
