Interesting food. Very good service. A little noisy. There are a couple of these restaurants. We chose the one nearest the Bund however I believe there is one in The French Concession.

This is the perfect restaurant for those who can't or won't commit to one favorite Asian cuisine. This yunan style cuisine brings the best of all Asia into every dish. From beautiful curries to spicy Thai type dishes, delicate Vietnamese; or bold cantonese. If you are a regular in China, Lost Heaven will put an end to the same ole-same ole Peking Duck dinner.

The ambiance and décor are beautiful. The food sublime. Service is attentive, efficient, and everyone, EVERYONE, speaks English. The outdoor bar upstairs is truly a small safe haven from traffic ridden, busy Shanghai, yummy drinks, ample wine selection and comfy seating.

The food has the perfect content and balance to appeal to any palate; that is a lot to say.

The food was not overly oily, salty, or fried beyond recognition. All ingredients were fresh and the presentation was elegant. There are many vegetarian options and a for the "sweet & sour everything" lovers, Lost Heaven's version takes the familiar dish to another level. It's grown up sweet & sour. Nice!

For those who keep forgetting your tissues at home and battle with chopsticks, this was heaven: Dinner fork, knife, spoon, chopsticks, AND real cloth napkins! Oh! yeah! Heaven! And don't tell me you can eat curry with chopsticks.

The restaurant and its bathroom was clean and the airconditioning works very well.

Must not be missed.

If you are a fan of Thai cuisine and you find yourself on the bund in shanghai, do yourself a favor and make this place happen. Again, if you like a bit of spice, have the Thai zeed drink. It pairs well with the heat of the dishes and will take you by surprise. All 4 of us had one and 4/4 loved it.

After two weeks in China I can say dining at this intimate and atmospheric restaurant was one of the culinary highlights of our trip. Food is fantastic, service incredibly efficient and friendly, prices quite reasonable. The flavors, the atmosphere, the whole experience was extraordinary.

Incredible food with an excellent range of dishes and wines. Fabulous decor, very attentive service - if you look like English speakers you are looked after by an English speaker. Difficult to see how anybody could not think this is food heaven. And good value too.
